TheSequarium.com is a website for Jay Israelson and his company, The Sequarium. Israelson is a composer, pianist, music producer working in Los Angeles. Imamura worked with Israelson as Art Director and Designer of the website.

Israelson studied composition and piano at Berklee College of Music and The New School. After graduating in 2002 he attended composer Karlheinz Stockhausen's courses in Germany. He settled back in NYC where he landed a job as a composer at the Rumor Mill, a music production house. There, he wrote music for national and international tv ad campaigns, worked on film scores and worked as a session musician on recordings for Norah Jones, Scarlett Johansson and violinist Joshua Bell (for the song "Before My Time" by J. Ralph 2013 Academy Award nominee for Best Song) and other notable artists.

Film Scoring:

Israelson has written scores for several films which have screened at Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival and other international film festivals, and has recently composed original music for AMC’s The Trivial Pursuits Of Arthur Banks starring Adam Goldberg and Jeffrey Tambor, and Why Stop Now starring Jesse Eisenberg, Tracy Morgan and Oscar winner Melissa Leo. He most recently composed the score for The Longest Week starring Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde in which he wrote and recorded every instance of music in the film.

Performance:

Israelson has also toured with the old school hip hop group Newcleus, indie rock bands Sophia Knapp (Drag City), Mice Parade (Fat Cat Records), Lansing-Dreiden (Kemado) and other New York groups in the 2000s. As a pianist, he has performed solo at black tie events at the 21 Club and the New York Public Library.
