The Canal Chapter was formed in 2005 with the support of Red Bull, as an inventive space to promote and cultivate ideas. Inspired by the alternative art spaces that emerged from SoHo NY in the 1970s, The Canal Chapter presented exhibitions, events, performances, parties, lectures, filmscreenings, and artist residency.
As the Special Projects Coordinator, Imamura programmed lectures, film screenings, panel discussions, critiques, musical events and cabaret performances.

An experimental arts space, founded by two artists to promote and cultivate alternative ideas in a classic SoHo loft. It was Red bull's first experiment into culture.
