Francis and the Lights is a band led by Francis Farewell Starlite, the artist and musician based out of New York City. Known for his post-modern, minimal-pop, rock-and-roll, soul music, legendary performances, and iconic music video, "the Top".

Recent highlights include a two month tour with the musician Drake, a song written and produced by Francis and the Lights which is Track 2 on Drake’s much anticipated album,Thank Me Later, and a Jimmy Kimmel Live performance.

Imamura worked with Starlite as the band's manager from 2008 ~ 2009, as well as a Controller for the company, Francis and the Lights LLC which was formed to manage an investment made by Normative Music, a company owned by Jakob Lodwick (blogger and Vimeo founder).

In October of 2008, Imamura produced a black tie event called, "Special Treat" as a unqiue CMJ showcase. The event was held at The Gershwin Hotel and included a string quartet cocktail hour, a performance by Francis and the Lights in the hotel's mahogony-encased smoking room, and freshly baked desserts.
