Clear Heart is a series of hollow resin sculptures in the shape of hearts, each filled with upcycled, symbolic objects from my life. These works explore how we carry our pasts with us everywhere we go, and how bringing awareness and honor to it helps us evolve.
The first hearts were made during a studio move, using items I had packed away: things no longer useful or relevant, but still deeply tied to who I am. I wanted to make them visible again. To honor them.
Each heart is a kind of personal archive—a transparent body holding memory, experience, and emotion. The series is an invitation to reflect on what we hold inside, and how those stories continue to live with us.
Guards and Boundaries holds tangled cords, iPhones, hazard gear, and symbolic fragments—objects that reflect the ways we protect ourselves by obscuring what we truly feel. It’s about the walls we build to survive the fear of not belonging, and the personas we construct to fit in.
This piece reflects the games we play to stay safe, and the mixed messages we send. We rarely say what we really mean. We text instead of talk. We deflect, decode, retreat. Communication becomes a maze—full of signals, traps, and warning signs.
But behind the front is something tender: the real desire to connect. To be seen without armor.
